Your sensational holiday in Tibet includes an inspiring flight over the magnificent Himalayas. Be introduced to the region's most influential destinations and the nation's complex history as you encounter the people who live in this beautiful rugged landscape. With snowcapped mountain backdrops, deep valleys, azure skies, torrential rivers, turquoise lakes and dramatic plateaus, you will journey into China's most picturesque and memorable region. You can savour the spicy cuisine, soak in the atmosphere in one of many bustling teahouses, visit the world-famous Giant Panda, hang your prayer flags on a tree outside a quiet monastery and feel completely drawn in by the compelling nature that is Tibet.

Trip grading: ADVENTUROUS Suitable for travellers with above-average levels of fitness and mobility. Prepare for some long road journeys, plenty of walking and climbing of stairs, and coping with the effects of high altitude (over 4,000 metres above sea level).

What's included: 11 nights hotel accommodation, flights as specified, all road transport by air-conditioned vehicles, Tibetan travel permit, all sightseeing as specified (excluding entrance fees), Western tour leader based on a minimum of seven travellers, local English-speaking guides throughout, arrival and departure transfers, and breakfast daily.
