2013
DAYS 1-2: PHNOM PENH
On arrival in Phnom Penh, transfer to your hotel and meet your tour leader and group of fellow travellers for welcome drinks. A tour of this fascinating city reveals the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, with an incredible silver-lined floor. Reflect on the tragedy of the Pol Pot era with a visit to Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields. At the ChildSafe Centre, learn about the plight of local street children, and what you can do to help.

DAYS 3-4: SIEM REAP
A flight to Siem Reap brings you close to the magnificent temples of Angkor. Marvel at the stone heads of the Bayon and wander the shady ruins of tree-covered Ta Prohm. Witness the unforgettable sight of the sun rising over Angkor Wat, explore the ornate temple Banteay Srei, and cruise across tranquil Tonle Sap Lake past floating villages.

DAYS 5-7: SAIGON & MEKONG DELTA
Fly to Saigon. A stroll along bustling Dong Khoi Street, the former Rue Catinat, immerses you in local life. Explore the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, before gaining an insight into gripping history at the amazing Cu Chi tunnels. Pass verdant fields on the way to the Mekong Delta where you float along the canals, stopping to taste fresh fruit.

DAYS 8-10: HUE & HOI AN
A morning flight brings you to the ancient city of Hue, to uncover the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda and historic Citadel, and meet the inspirational deaf and mute staff running a charity craft shop. A drive past coastal scenery leads to the charming town of Hoi An. Stroll the streets of this well-preserved town and visit traditional houses and temples, and the iconic Japanese Bridge. Tour the local markets with the disadvantaged youth being trained by the Streets Foundation, then free time gives you the chance to whisk away on a short bicycle ride to the beach nearby, or shop till you drop at one of the many masterful tailors in town.

DAYS 11-14: HALONG BAY & HANOI
Fly to Hanoi and then enjoy the scenic drive to Halong City. Float along the sparkling waters of Halong Bay amidst countless limestone islands jutting from the bay, as you devour a fresh seafood lunch on-board. On return to Hanoi, a famous water puppet performance awaits. The much adored ‘Uncle Ho’ is intrinsic to Hanoi. Learn all about his life at his former home and mausoleum, and visit the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison. Explore at your own pace before you say goodbye to your tour leader and new friends at a farewell dinner. On your last day, enjoy free time until your departure transfer.
