2008 Northern Encounter:8 day Thailand Tour

2008 Northern Encounter - 8 Days

Meet friendly hilltribe people, spot local wildlife and more.

A casually inviting and explicitely homely destination, the rolling hills, cloud-covered mountain passes and small, closely knit villages dot the landscape of northern Thailand. It is the heart of the ancient Lanna Kingdom. Your exciting holiday on our ‘Northern Encounter’ journey will bring you close and personal to the local people and learn their ancient traditions and customs. You can explore sacred temples and exhilarating markets, take an elephant ride into the jungle or uncover some war time history.

Although this in-depth visit to one of the most beautiful pockets of the ‘Land of Smiles’ introduces you to the countries most immediate highlights, you will leave hungry for more.

Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Pai, Lisu Lodge.

Ask our Travellers: "I took your 'Northern Encounter' trip on the 'Willing to Share' option while my husband took a course in Bangkok. I was nervous at first, having never travelled on my own or done a group tour, but now I know it is the only way to go! I loved my group and the whole experience." J. Luder - Australia

Tip's for your Holiday: Practise your bargaining skills at the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai, or explore the live music venues of Pai.
